The house has been our home since 2003, when we moved to Connemara to enjoy the year-round beauty of the land and seascape in this very special corner of Ireland. The six individually designed en suite bedrooms are high on comfort and style.

Together we’ve strived to create a warm and welcoming retreat that is both contemporary and cosy. Drawing on our backgrounds in textile design (Ruth) and music (Stuart) we’ve infused Hillside Lodge with personality, style and homely charm. Stuart has travelled all around the world with acts like U2 and Sínead O’Connor, and our aim is to create memorable and affordable accommodation where we would both like to stay.
